Research Of DRM System Based On P2P Network

P2P network takes Internet services into a new era. It's more easier and convenient to share resources with others on the Internet. Meanwhile P2P brings lots of troubles. It's quite easy to cheat others with viruses and Trojan horses for the malicious peers , due to the anonymity of the peers, who joined the P2P system. What makes the situation worse is P2P network provides little protection for copyrighted contents. Thus it infringes on the benefit of the copyrights owners and that is also irresponsible for the peers.Based on the problems of P2P networks, this thesis analyses the attacks, which are caused by the selfish and malicous actions, and the attack affections in detail. Then we discuss the necessity to make the reputation model. Afterwards we look into the history of reputation models, and emphasize on the details of the layered reputation model and the model's restraining to the P2P problems. After that the structure of DRM(Digital Right Management) system is discussed ,and followed by the technologies DRM system adopts and the development of the DRM systems. And then the thesis discusses the issues we must face and solve, when we transplant DRM systems from C/S to P2P environment. Meanwhile a resolution is discussed detailedly. Finally on the .NET platform we design the LP2P(Layered P2P) demo framework which implement the basic funcions of P2P system, and integrate the layered reputation model and part of DRM with LP2P.Comparing to other schemes, our scheme makes full use of the P2P transmiting advantages while solves the bottleneck issue of indexing DRM resources. This thesis provides a new view of P2P DRM system.
