IIR digital filter is an kind of digital filter that its unit pulse response is unlimited long, and is also an important research task in modern electronics,communication and signal processing, many scholars did much research on the optimization design of IIR digital filter. Therein, the optimization design of IIR digital filter by Evolutionary Algorithm gained good result, but there are also some deficiencies in this method; In addition, the optimization design of IIR digital filter based on Particles Algorithm and Manpower shoal Algorithm also got some good results, but all these methods base on changing multi-objective issue into single-objective one. In this method, every object being endowed a value, the object-function is the result of all these objects add, and then search its minimum value as the optimization result. The problem is that any minimum value can be regarded as the effective result possibly by this method, but actually, the result is possibly not the most effective result. That is to say, it's difficult to differentiate the most effective result for the single-objective method. In addition, it's also difficulty to decide the value which is endowed to the object when we change multi-objective issue into single-objective one, and decision-maker only get the unique root but not all those effective ones. Aiming at these problems, this paper research the optimization method of IIR digital filter based on particle- Evolutionary Programming Algorithm and two kinds of multi-objective optimization method of IIR digital filter which based on Genetic Algorithm and Quantum Genetic Algorithm. The main work and research fruits are as follows.1. The mathematics model and parameter model about IIR digital filter is analyzed systematically, The low-pass IIR digital filter is designed by Genetic Algorithm and Quantum Genetic Algorithm respectively, and the corresponding experimental results are given.2. Aiming at the problem of getting the partial result possibly when design IIR digital filter, Particle- Evolutionary Programming Algorithm is researched and used to design IIR digital filter. In his method, the renewal operator from Particle optimization Algorithm is brought in, The Low-pass,high-pass,band-pass,and band-stop IIR digital filter are designed by this method and some results are given better than those ones by Evolutionary Programming Algorithm.3. Usually, the multi-objective issue is changed into single-objective one When IIR digital filter is designed. Though these methods are comparatively simple, its difficulty to decide the value when we change multi-objective issue into single-objective one, and decision-maker only get the unique root but not all those effective ones. Aiming at these defects, this paper researches the multi-objective optimization method of IIR digital filter which based on Genetic Algorithm. In the method, these values of these objects are mapped into fit function and a set of roots including the "unique root" from single-objective method are given.4. Aiming at the deficiency of Genetic Algorithm, a kind of multi-objective optimization method is researched which is based on Quantum Genetic Algorithm. The result by this method is compared with the one by the multi-objective optimization method based on Genetic Algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that the result is better than that one by that method based on Genetic Algorithm.5. Aiming at hardware achievement of IIR digital filter, FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) simulation and verification of IIR digital filter is given by this paper and the result is analyzed.
