Research Of Wireless Remote Image Monitoring System Based On Embedded Linux

With the progress of the modem scientific and social development, monitoring system has been applied to all aspects of the society. At present, in the field of image monitoring system, the type of wire monitoring system is more generally. but the applications are limited because of the physical disadvantages in some difficult situations, such as the monitors' points distribute broadly. The wireless monitor systems are the only resolutions. With the fast development of the computer and communication technology, the wireless monitor system combined with the embedded system technology, wireless communication technology and internet technology can be realized. So that the application area and role of the monitoring system has been greatly expanded.The main task of this paper is, realizing wireless remote monitoring as the goal, using the existing hardware, software and GPRS wireless network resources. Analysis software and hardware requirement of wireless remote monitoring system, through hardware and software programming to realize system function by software method, design a simple, practical wireless remote monitoring system.Based on the goals of the system design, the thesis using ARM_Linux embedded development environment. Firstly, design the overall of the system, Analyze the structure of the system's hardware and software. Then, use the APIs of Video4Linux kernel to realize image acquisition of the system, through PPP dial-up to access the GPRS, through network programming to realize the transmission of the image. Developed a prototype machine of the system successfully. Finally, make a conclusion and outlook of the embedded wireless remote monitoring system.
