The Design And Implementation Of Office Automation System Based On Domino/Notes

Office automation (OA) system is a new business process management system bsed on workflow theory. With the development of computer, network and workflow technology, the information process of an enterprise is faster and the research and application of office automation technology gets an unprecedented development. By more generally beening applied to government agencies, financial institutions, enterprises and institutions in the daily management, OA system has become an important means of increasing efficiency and optimizing management processes. With the support of workflow technology, OA system can provide a software supporting environment; allocate information and human resources rationally to coordinate business processes in all aspects; achieve business process automation and standardization; make internal staff share information conveniently and cooperate with each other.OA system has become an important part of infomation building in high school. This paper mainly bases on the project in Hunan Univeristy Office Automation System.Firstly, the basic concepts of office automation and workflow is introduced, the development of office automation system on the platform of Domino/Notes??summarized in the paper. Secondly, some workflow-related concepts are introduced and the technology of workflow model based on Petri net is discussed. Thirdly, a document-driven workflow model is proposed in the paper based on the open design concept and the basic idea of knowledge management. The overall function framework and flow definition form of OA system are designed. Then, the full implementation of OA system based on Domino/Notes is present. By combining the idea of workflow, the paper takes the "document management" as an example, systematically expounds how to achieve the automation of documents on the platform of Domino/Notes, focus on the basic principle and implemetation of data-driven flow. Next, the main security mechanism is researched. The application level permission organization of OA system is proposed. The auto administration of roles in OA system by rules is discussed. Then a security access control scheme based on human resource database and rules engine is proposed. Finally, the interface technology, conflict management and Web publishing issues in OA are discussed, and the related solutions are given in the paper.The system do a good role in practice.
