With the development of the marketing economy, enterprises suffered from server competition. One way to strengthen the competitive edge of the enterprise is to make full use of the internal potential so as to enhance the operating efficiency. To increase the customer satisfaction and promote the productive efficiency and degree of automation, it is necessary to introduce Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) on the basis of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). APS, an improved technique, based on the control of resources can be applied in the planning and scheduling in the enterprises. Press, is a industry for processing orders, whose tasks scheduling plays a vital role in the economic performance.In the background of Printing industry, taking planning and scheduling as research object and scheduling optimization as main content, utilizing the Genetic Arithmetic of computational intelligence methods, this paper studies the APS, a system which can efficiently enhance the level of planning and scheduling in the enterprise.Firstly, this thesis analysis and summarizes the APS theory. On the basis of analyses of the weakness of ERP, this paper summarizes the planning function, definition, core technology. Secondly, this thesis analysis the need of system of the production management and business process, design of system function, and discuss the current technology and introduces genetic arithmetic discussed above in the production scheduling system to solve the problem of resource sorting and actualizes the scheduling system combined with manual scheduling and auto scheduling based on the printing enterprise. Finally, this thesis studies the improved technology of APS and gives priority to the study of Genetic Arithmetic applied in Job-Shop scheduling with a detail explanation on basic structure,coding,decoding rules,selection of fitness function,design of Adaptive Mutation and Cross-Operator.
