With the rapid development of our society and economy, the automation levels of railway stations are rising and scheduling system is getting more sophisticated, but microcomputer-based monitoring system used in railway stations can not consider some factors affecting the traffic safety in some regions of the station into train-route arrangement. Dispatchers must consider the factors by themselves. So, mistakes can not be avoided completely and there are security risks in train-route arrangement. The automatically voice prompt and alarm system of train-route arrangement is developed in this paper, which gets signal light and turnout position's information from train operation dispatching and command system (TDCS), and then extracts the prepared train-route ,checks every region in this train-route. If necessary, the system will prompt and alarm the dispatchers to take the necessary measures in form of screen prompt and voice alarm at the same time. The system is based on SST89 microcontroller and ISD4000 voice chip, communicates with TDCS by isolated RS-422 interface and outputs prompt information via a touch screen. The system can reduce staff workloads and pressures, eliminate the security risks in train-route arrangement.First of all, a brief introduction of railway automation scheduling status is given, including the problems that we are in face with. The necessity and urgency of a new kind of automatically voice prompt and alarm system of train-route arrangement is emphasized, meanwhile a statement of the content of paper are given too.Secondly, the overall plan of the Voice Prompt and Alarm System mentioned above is introduced briefly. Subsystem and the composition of the functional requirements and the overall system operation processes are detailed. The system has three subsystems, namely the information collection system, with the voice prompt and alarm system, human-machine interface subsystem.In the following parts, the paper detailed the system designed from three parts of hardware design, software design and man-machine interface program. In perspective of hardware realizing, the paper give a detailed description of the design; in perspective of software realizing, the paper give a detailed description of subroutine of the system; in perspective of human-machine interface programming, the paper give a detailed description of the realization of internal procedures and the tie between control board sytem and human-machine interface.In addition, a brief summary and further improvement is presented at the end of the paper.
