Research And Realization On Virtual Environment Simulation Of Image Tracker Testing & Evaluation System

After the development of image tracker, problems of tracker's performance assessment are existed. With increasing number of applications in weapon systems, research and development of simulation technology is significant to image tracker. After the research of image tracker testing and evaluation system, it applies the technology of visual simulation into the system. A variety of actual scenes can be simulated in the laboratory to solve the problem of image tracker testing and evaluation.Firstly, the background and the research work on the current international development trend of VR technology are introduced in this paper. Then the 3D modeling ways and the methods of generating virtual scene are analyzed and discussed. The popular software Creator and Vega of Multigen-Paradigm are introduced focused on the drawing technology and class of Vega. Furthermore, a virtual scene system about battlefield environment is built by using Creator & Vega and the system is managed by using MFC. There result of experiment provost works well on a common PC. Finally, on the basis of summing up the work, find more work to do in the future.
