Hydraulic excavator is a kind of engineering machinery which is very important and used widely in current society.As the demand of excavator grows up,It is more and more important to focus attention on the products design and driving training of excavator.Traditonally,In order to verify the accuracy of the design, sample should be created first according to the design,based on which problems can be found and modified steadily;while the driving training on the excavator should also carry on in light of the true machine.Under certain circumstance,all of these bring on a great number of problems,not only do they decrease the production efficiency,deteriorate the quality of product,but also squander a big deal of the cost.As a result,research on the excavator in the virtual reality turns on very urgent and needful.This dissertation treats the excavator as the study object,fairly deeply discusses the application of excavator in virtual reality according to the creation of virtual working scene of the excavator.Generally speaking,the work details are as follow:①Firstly,investigating relevant knowledge in virtual reality,then systematically getting acknowledge of the methods used in it,based on which,making the plan and making the layout of objective and procedure of simulation.②Getting acknowledge of the structure and working principle of excavator,gathering the parameters of dimension of excavator,constructing the models of the working devices via SolidWorks,which is then simplified by the use of Creator and finishing the models ultimately;Vitual scene is made by the use of Creator,including terrain and feature elements,with the help of which, a vivid simulation system of excavator is completed at last.③The simulation system is simply configured through Lynx Prime,and realize the interactive function on the platform of VC++through the call of Vega Prime function library. Lastly,The action of excavator can be controlled by keyboard.In addition,the function of angle reverse and environment configuration are also added.
