With DWDM technology mature and widely used,communication network transmission capacity has been able to meet a variety of business needs.Optical switch network will become the mainstream of telecom network because of its high speed and high bandwidth in the future. Optical burst switch emerges as the times require in this background.OBS combines the advantages of optical circuit switching and optical packet switching and avoid their shortcomings,which has very good prospects for the development.This thesis mainly studies OBS routing protocols,and it can be divided into 4 parts:1,The relevant knowledge of OBS and some of the existing typical routing protocols are introduced.2,According to the OBS network characteristics,the author consults some literatures and amends a typical OBS routing protocol frame format,and then uses Verilog HDL language to program 4 kinds of frame structure.In addition,by simulating the communication of two OBS nodes,the working flows of protocol's four frames are verified in QUARTUSⅡsoftware,and the results of simulation are discussed.3,On a basis of the FPGA chip EP2C20Q240C8 of CycloneⅡseries,the author achieves 4 OBS Routing Protocol frame at the hardware level,and simulates the communication of two OBS nodes,at last the results of stimulation are observed by oscilloscope,and the results of debugging are analyzed.4,One relatively new technology——BFD technology is researched,this technology provides a universal and standardized fast fault detection mechanism,and it is foreign to medium and protocol,it provides less than 1 second test of time,which can be considered to substitute the commonly used slow Hello mechanism.
