Problems And Countermeasures: On China's Copyright Trade Of Books

The publication copyright trade in China is mainly shared by books according to the related records. In the point of macro-view, books copyright trade belongs to business activity as well as a culture exchange bridge between China and foreign countries. Publication has hundreds of years history in China, but its copyright trade just began at tens of years ago. Although the trade gets great development since opening and reform, it still has many problems such as more import and less export, poor quality in import and tedious theme in export. Obviously, the books copyright trade does not match to the increasing development economy of China.It is more important for us to approach positive and negative conclusions which provide us solutions and promote the copyright trade than to stay in problems in the research of books copyright trade. However, in recent 10 years, the articles about copyright trade are not so plentiful and considerate. The author found 323 articles on this topic from January 1995 to October 2008 via researching on CNKI. And all the articles have their shortages which are concluded as two mores and two lesses: more repeated contents, less fresh cases; more separated topics, less system analysis. Therefore, based on study of theories in school and practicing in copyright trade department of press, the author analyses problems in aspects of import and export copyright, trade market exploration, talent cultivation and management by comprehensive comparison and system presentation. After the deep research expression, the author suggests her countermeasures to resolve the problems mentioned above. The article is expected to help presses, copyright agencies and related officials to resolve problems in their work and provide them some ideas both theoretically and practically.The article is composed of four parts. The first part releases background and significance of the topic, the structure and fresh ideas of whole article. The second part expresses the aims and significance of books copyright trade, present the history and recent situation of copyright trade in China. In the third part, the main problems existing in book copyright trade are discussed comprehensively, including the presentation, reasons to result of. Then, in the last part, the author provides strategies from all aspects in order to promote and explore our country's books copyright trade.
