Platform vehicle is a special kind of vehicles for transiting heavy equipment and components, it is widely used in the over loading areas, such as conveying part of big ship, industrial mainframe and etc. As an important part of the platform vehicle, the steering wheel group hydraulic system plays a key role in the aspect of carrying performance and road safty.A platform vehicle is arranged more bridges and whole steering, steer system is a typical complex system with mechanical, electricity and hydraulic. During the course of carrying and steering, the different bridges and wheel groups should cooperate with each other, and respond frequently. In this paper, three-dimensional solid modeling tool Pro / E is used to build the single-entity model of the bridge, through the program interface Mech / Pro, the model is imported to large-scale dynamic simulation software ADAMS, on the basis of actual load, a dynamic steering resistance of a platform vehicle is analyzed by using the ADAMS/Tire module, the maximum thrust of steering hydraulic cylinders is confirmed , which lay a foundation for the hydraulic steering system design and optimization.The organization of servo controlled hydraulic cylinder is the core part of the cyclical hydraulic system. In this paper, ADAMS / Hydraulic module is used in the establishment of hydraulic circuit system. In the hydraulic steering system modeling, using hydraulic principle map as the original model, the parameters setting and functions definition of the hydraulic components is completed. According to the performance parameters and physical equation of the hydraulic components, simulation function is established, and the performance parameters of the initial state and working conditions of the components are intercalated. Joint simulation is performed on the mechanical and hydraulic model. Through setting simulation step size and time, the accurate variation rule of simulation curve, such as the hydraulic cylinders speed, systems pressure and so on, can be obtained.On the basis of mechanical and hydraulic joint simulation, joint control is implemented by using ADAMS / Controls module and MATLAB/Simulink function modules, the application has established control system block diagram, through PID, the joint simulation of mechanical, electricity and hydraulic is implemented. By running simulation and adjust the control parameters, the desired response characteristics and precision are obtained.
