With the development of MEMS technology and the advent of network pervasive computing times, it's more and more important to develop miniaturized, low power consumption networked smart sensor that can self-recognize, self-diagnose, process simple data and communicate with others by network, combining wire or wireless network communication technology with smart sensor technology.For the purpose of applying a run-time reconfigurable virtual instrument software platform: IsVIP, which is developed by ourselves ,in industry field, through extensive, in-depth study on the application model and theories of networked smart sensor, based on a set of lightweight sensor network application layer protocol: AgileSN that is also developed by ourselves, adopting ARM7 embedded microprocessor S3C44B0X + sensor unit + Ethernet interface to build the networked smart sensor's hardware platform, programming with the C language under uClinux environment combined with multithreading and TCP/IP network communications technology, design and build a wire ethernet networked smart sensor that can run autonomously, self-recognize, self- describe, transmit data by network and automatically parse data from network.TCP/IP wire ethernet networked smart sensor based on ARM7 embedded microprocessor and uClinux OS has achieved the expected results, and can meet the general needs of building distributed measure & control network in industry field, acquisite and transmit data from industry field in weak real-time mode by network, can be reconfigured and controlled remotely through network. This work has not only completely proved the feasibility of AgileSN protocol, and demonstrated various advantages of network smart sensor based on this protocol, such as support for any types of sensors, sensor node's automatic discovery, self-recognition, self-description and automatic parse for data from sensor network; but also could be taken as a pre-research on networked smart sensor that can be product in large scale ,and made complete prepare on technology for productly developing wire or wireless networked smart sensor run on AgileSN protocol in the near future; meanwhile, provided valuable references for other applications in related field.
