On The TV Culture In The Perspective Of Harmonious Society

"The socialist harmonious society we should build will feature democracy, the rule of law, equity, justice, sincerity, amity, vitality, stability and order, harmony between man and nature of the community."President Hu Jintao remarked at the opening ceremony, which was offered by the Party School of the CPC Central Committee and attended by major provincial- and ministerial-level leaders in February 19, 2005.Building a harmonious culture is an important part of the grand goal of building a harmonious society. As a fastest-growing, most popular, the greatest influential cultural form,the prominence of TV culture come out under construction of harmonious society.Applied the Marxist dialectical concept, a comprehensive look on the TV culture was conducted in the paper. It was pointed out that TV culture is"a double-edged sword", which not only plays positive roles such as environment watcher, social adhesive, knowledge spreader, entertainment provider and so on, but also has discordant effect due to its falsity, homogeneity, philistinism, and deviation under communication. If enough importance will not be given to these problems, they will certainly keep spreading and seriously affect the constructing of socialist harmonious society. To help TV culture play a better role in the grand goal, we must face up to these issues, purify TV culture, and strengthen the sense of responsibility when disseminating TV culture. In this paper, a rational thinking was conducted on the therapies to the disharmony of TV culture after bringing forward problems. Expectations for TV culture were also advanced in the end of the paper.
