This theis firstly simply introduces the characteristics and prospect of EOS Remote Sensing data, and also introduces the general situation of the study area. Through analyzing the domestic and international RS monitoring programs on land surface temperature and soil moisture, the thesis illustrates the significance of retrieving regional land surface temperature and soil moisture based on RS information models and data. Seconde, respectively using MODIS or ASTER data as source data, the thesis analyzes the correlation between the radiant intensity calculated from every thermal infrared band and temperature from 0 degree to 70 degree. The thesis introduces and studies how to estimate critical parameters and to retrieve land surface temperature with the modified mono-window or split-window algorithms. In succession, through evaluating precision of retrieved results against actual land surface temperature, the thesis performs a relative analysis on the results retrieved from MODIS and ASTER respectively with the best algorithms, and also corrects the land surface temperature retrieved from MODIS with the value of DEM in the study area. Finally, according to the characteristics of the study area and the retrieved land surface temperature, the thesis retrieves soil moisture with VSWI, corrects it with the value of DEM, and mkes a comprehensive RS analysis on the spatial distribution features of it.
