The TD-SCDMA mobile communication system is the first international telecom standard proposed by Chinese. It integrates a lot of TDD technology and CDMA technology advantages, such as flexible air interface, smart antenna, joint detection etc. Thereby, it can achieve high frequency efficiency and offer large system capacity. For the wireless communications system in the future higher data speed and system capacity is expected. Optimizing system resource is one of the key approach to achieve these.In this thesis, the radio resource optimization of NodeB in TD radio access system is studied. The hardware system and software structure of Micro NodeB are analyzed and studied in detail. The function of management and optimization of radio resource of Micro NodeB is achieved by a software module based on C language programming. The main work is as follows.(1) The HSDPA technology is applied to the NBAP software module of Micro NodeB. The PI submodule which is responsible for protocol implement and the RT submodule which is responsible for memory and management of NBAP radio resource in the NBAP software module are designed and implemented by using C language.(2) The ATM/IP double bearers transfer technology which can support multimdia radio application service is applied to the NBAP software module of Micro NodeB. The software design and implementing of RT submodule and PI submodule are programmed by using C language. The interface between NBAP and OM subsystem which is in BCP and the interface between NBAP and ASG subsystem which is in BCP are also programmed by using C language.(3) The feasibility of designed modules are tested by adopting the method of whole NodeB test. The results demonstrate that designed modules fulfill service demand of ATM/IP double bearers is concluded.
