In the recent years, academician at home and abroad present a series of new protection ideas of information security, especially brand-new keep away and protection measure in intellectual property rights domain. Information hide and watermark technology is a new kind of protection measure of digital media, which inserts special information into some digital medium such as image, voice, video and text files, in order to protect identifier, remark and copyright.As an important application of information hide technology in computer multimedia domain, watermark technology can insert some sightless message into multimedia information. And after some disposals of it, the watermark can also be detected. As a new idea of multimedia protection, watermark technology has been specially interested, also been widely studied and applied in the recent years.At present, most study on watermark is at theory level, watermark software is really scarcely. Because of this, it's important to design watermark software. At first, a strong arithmetic in DCT domain is presented in this article. Based on the arithmetic, watermark software is designed finally.At first, the exordium introduces the origin, tendency, characteristic and the research content of information hiding and the digital watermark. After it, the article elaborated the digital watermark technology theories, the evaluation criteria and the digital watermark bare bone. The third chapter introduces one kind of vigorous and healthy DCT algorithm about digital watermark inserting and the extraction after describing the Fourier transformation, DCT transformation. And it confirms the watermark robustness using several attack methods, such as cutting, filtering, increasing noise and so on. Based on this algorithm, it realizes one kind of convenience practical digit watermark software in the fourth chapter. And this software's realization is also based on mix programming principle of VB and MATLAB. After comparing several common mix programming methods, it chose one quite reasonable succinct union method. Through VB and the MATLAB connection, using the formidable image processing ability of MATLAB and formidable interface function of VB, the watermark algorithm is compiled in MATLAB and transferred by interface function in VB. The software is realized finally. Through the experimental examination, this software is very convenience, and it has the good use value.
