Weather Receiving System And Image Reproduction Based On The Serial Communication

Marine meteorological conditions play a very positive and important role for the ship scheduling management. For the monitor and management of ships sailing it's very meaningful to master how to get weather information and to obtain weather information transmission to a computer. HF weather fax communications turns images and texts into serial electrical signals through the use of scanning technology, and make the original image transmission to other areas through the shortwave communication technology. The computer has the superiority in the data storage, reproduction and other dealing with. The short-wave digital signal will be transmitted into the computer through the serial communications, and the captain will be randomly calling all fax pictures in navigation regional coordinating country, which is great significance for safe navigation.This issue provides a simple and effective method to receive shortwave meteorological information. Using shortwave weather fax (or single sideband shortwave radio) to receive meteorological information, the weather fax signal has been received and loaded in the audio signal. Hardware design modules include the short-wave signal amplification, filtering plastic processing or digital, single-chip microcomputer for receiving and sending data and serial level converter.At present the weather fax sent images using FSK modulation, the black-and-white color base band signal is modulated to 1500 Hz and 2300Hz respectively and transmitted. After the completion of the entire project design, experimental methods are to make the simulation in the bread-board to simulate PCB circuit, and complete the shortwave signal extraction test through the hardware module. The shortwave signals are analyzed fully and simulated the signal inherent law in the MATLAB environment. The image reproduction will be made with the communication between the computer and SCM in the VC++6.0 software.The results and conclusions of the weather receiving system based on the serial communication and image reproduction include the hardware design module, shortwave signals in the simulation analysis and data sending and receiving based on the serial communication between the SCM and the computer. System achieves the short-wave signal data of reception and storage, and lays the foundation for the treatment of the follow-up. The innovation is getting the use of direct access with the store data, and the data can make the image comparison and evolution of processing. We can open up a new use with the short-wave weather data for the safe operation system of ships at sea.
