| As one of mordern medium , TV has great influence on human life , especially for the youngers . Their spare time has been occupied by the entertainment such as TV,internet and so on. Many children even get a severe "addiction of TV". According to the survery, the time children spend on TV in China can be an average of 2 hours and 24 minutes each day. From the start of kindergarten school to the graduation of middle school , a child takes as long as more than ten thousand hours to stay with TV during the ten years, far more than any time they spend on their courses . Watching too much TV can badly affect the growth of the body and mood, the shape of character and the development of cognition . Meanwhile , our TV industry has made great progress in the recent few years , and the children's programs are gradually blooming . From the year of 2003, about 36 television station has started special children channel, creating a convinent situation for them to watch colourful programs and also providing strong surpport to the construction of younger's thoughts and verture.A number of researches suggest that TV brings many active effects and harvests to the children . Neverthless ,on the other hand , it has variety of negative effects too. Children can easily get the so-called "TV illness", including early maturity, laziness ,volience, decreased attention etc. And even end their happy childhood too early. Therefore, only lots of TV channels are far from the needs . It is to produce and communicate various excellent program that should be our directions.The aim of this research lies in the exploration of how to make TV positively , turnning to it's benefits and avoiding the harm ,making full use of its value-guiding and educational function , making children to grow healthily companied by TV . Since 1950s , some western contries have already started their exploration in this field , connected with a series of contents like children's TV needs, TV's effects on children, children's cognitive character when they watch TV etc . And a series of "children oritention" theory has taken shape . But in China, there are no research in this area until 1980s . And they are more likely to start with an emotional status, lack thoughtful ideas and systematic way to reseach . The analysis to the whole situation of children's program is especially rare.This article choose about more than 100 programs of 16 provinces in the whole country and 17 children's channel including CCTV as the research object, combining two analytical ways to analize the content ,making a try to apply the content analysis to TV research area , and to find some problems through the analysis , then to put forward suggestions. This research also investigate some parents, to offer some constructive advices .According to the research ,five severe problems exist in children programs . (1) The programs put too much emphsis on education and too little on entertainment and the types of programs are not enough for children. (2) The oritention of the programs for different child is obscure. (3) less participation of children in the programs (4) It is not enough ot dig out and make ue of the conventional culture (5) The fuction of the Children programs is also obscure.In conclusion of the above, the researcher put forward the following advices to promote the quality of children's programs. Firstly, each television station should put more fund to children's program in order not to decrease the quality of children's programs because of less of fund. Secondly , take more steps to creat a mature and stable professional production team . And promote the qualification of the stuff with children's TV, especially strengthen their professional training in education and children psychology. Thirdly, a database and platform for exchange of resources should be established among the stations ,make all kinds of program to an average level and make children's program to be neck and neck in each area. |
