Research And Implementation Of A Complicated Data Sources Report Model

As an indispensable portion of Enterprise infomationization, report is one of the important ways in collecting and analyzing the correlative information. Report that is used widely in our life is a trenchancy tool for browsing, analyzing information and printing the results. The traditional report generation system is based on simple foreign report model; this report model can not adapt complicated report development. In particular, when we design a complicated data sources report, developing a complicated report often needs to edit code or buildup sub-report.The concept of report was introduced in this thesis; it explained the two key factors of report: One of them is the content of the report (the data of report); the other is the style of report (the form of report). The mainly report system of inland and outland have also been introduced; for example, Excel, Crystal Report, Cell and Runqian Report. According to discussion and analysis of the mainly report system, we find the problems of traditional report software:1. The difficulty of getting data from complicated data sources or different kinds of databases;2. The maintainability of these report system is very hard;3. The reusability of these report files is bad.In order to resolve the problem of traditional report system in getting data from complicated data sources, three ways of coping with complicated data sources have been analysed in the thesis. When the characteristics of these ways have been studied by author, a complicated report model is proposed. Because this report model resolved the problem of getting data from complicated data sources, it also improved capacity of report system in coping with complicated data sources.Visual Studio.NET of Microsoft and C# language is used to design and develop the report generation system based on .NET with the complicated data sources report model. The core of system is that implementation of a complicated data sources report model with ADO.NET which is a new technology of process data. The system is designed by using the characteristic of .NET Framework and C# language, it has accomplished the various of data sources in the unify body of report,reading and writing the report file and printing the report. Finally, it proves that this report system can handle the problem of complicated data sources report by designing an instance of report.
