The Customization Research And Application Of Specific Embedded Platform BootLoader

Along with the development of information and the communication industry, there are more and more embedded products, which are very important in the daily life. In a fully function embedded system, it is a trend to use a RTOS. BootLoader is an indispensable part of an embedded system. Its responsibility is to initialize the hardware, to load the operating system, and to extend the specific function.This thesis does research on the customization and application of the BootLoader on the MVB platform. The MVB communication network card is applied in train communication networks and requires a high real-time performance. It has an ARM7 micro-controller, and uses Nucleus as its RTOS. It is necessarily to customize a BootLoader for this specific embedded platform. This paper first analyses a universal BootLoader called RedBoot and a flash file system called TFS, and then integrates the TFS into RedBoot. After that, all the extended functions are implemented. A test method and an application of the BootLoader are given at the end of the thesis.
