The Configuration Software Development Based On OPC And Its Application On Telecom Power Supervisory Control System

In recent years, with the rapid development of telecommunications industry, the communications nets of China Telecom Company became larger and larger. Increasingly large scale and more and more base stations and expensive high-tech equipment, make much stricter requirement on power equipment, air-conditioning and other environmental equipment. No doubt, it also sets higher requirement on power and environment supervisory control system, for example, the data to be processed increase largely and the type of equipment appear much more and more, however, along with intensified competition in supervisory control industry, the project profits decrease in order to buy a expensive commercial configuration software and pay for a expensive development costs. A new design control system should improve the cost-effective to keep competitive.To meet the new requirement, this paper brings forward a project base on OPC. This project supports OPC Specification, making the communication between configuration software and devices more scalable. The Specialized design in Telecom makes software simple and low-costs, easy to copy.First, this paper analyzes the application and shortage of telecom power and environment supervisory control system, introduces the architecture of system and effects of configuration software in it. Then, it discusses the components and functions of configuration software, specifies the design and implementation methods of the graphical interface subsystems, real-time database subsystem, Events & alarms subsystems, Report and display subsystems, and then gives the application of input and output device drivers and the data access server based on the OPC in configuration software. Finally, it gives an example of Yangjiang power and environment supervisory control system, showing the utility of the configuration software.The configuration software based on OPC which was designed in this paper has been successfully used in Yangjiang telecom power and environment supervisory control system, the engineer used it thought that it was simple to use and easy to develop, solved the most problems encountered before. Actually the system was running stably and well praised since it was installed.
