Distributed interactive simulation is one of leading issues in the field of compute simulation these days, and has the widespread application both in the field of national economy and national defense development. Using fire-fighting simulation training as the background, the dissertation illustrate the method of HLA(High Level Architecture)-based distributed fire-fighting simulation. HLA is original a new generation of distributed simulation criterion established by American national defense, and is used in the field of military simulation. Targeting at accelerating inter-manipulation of simulation application and reusage of simulation resource, it has already been standardized as IEEE 1516 international standard.Distributed fire-fighting simulation is not only involved with 3D (three-dimension) simulation on computer and professional knowledge of fire-fighting, but also requires multi-computer cooperative ability. The dissertation will apply the HLA-based distributed simulation architecture in the field of fire-fighting simulation, and take a deep discussion on problems of the multi-computer cooperation. Also it studies the processing method and solves key problems in distributed fire-fighting simulation. To sum up, the key contributions and main contents in this dissertation are as follows:(1) 3D fire-fighting simulation and control mechanism. The three-dimension fire-fighting simulation system not only needs technique of media expression, such as rendering 3D scene and controlling audio, but also requires simulating environment and entity within the scene realistically. Aim at particularity of fire-fighting simulation, this dissertation combines 3D simulation on computer, proposes a control mechanism in the process of fire-fighting simulation, and solves technical difficulties of 3D simulation.(2) The algorithm of artificial intelligence within the simulation system. In order to gain a better efficiency of simulation, the entity within the simulation system always need to be endowed with a high degree of intelligence. Based on the difference between the simulated characteristic of person, vehicle and NPC (Non Player Character), this dissertation proposes an intelligentized controlling method to satisfy the requirement of fire-fighting task. Also, it expands the heuristic path-searching algorithm, makes it fit for simulated units with unfixed size.(3) Synchronous control mechanism of distributed simulation. 3D distributed fire-fighting simulation relate to the synchronization of 3D scene and multi-computer cooperation control. This dissertation proposes a control strategy of distributed synchronization to achieve cooperating multi-computer and synchronizing the 3D scene.Based on the theory within this dissertation, a distributed fire-fighting simulation training system was finally designed and implemented. The test result of the system proved that the control strategy of distributed simulation is correct and effective.
