This thesis makes simulation on DCS (Distributed Control System) that is widely used in industrial processes, and makes analysis and study on development of network design and man-machine interactive graphic interface for DCS simulation system.First, the thesis describes the practical importance in developing DCS simulation system. The thesis gives introduction to the composition, characteristics, occurrence, development, and wide applications of DCS in large-scale industrial process control in China and abroad. Introduction is also given to the common ways of DCS simulation.Second, the principles and methods for design of simulation and simulation system are discussed in the thesis. The importance of man-machine interactive environment in simulation system is analyzed. The importance of object-oriented method of design in development of simulation system is described. Introduction with have analysed crucial technology, technical characteristic, the development and the architecture of distributed interative simulation and architecture. Explained the DCS simulation system composition structure.Third, the thesis focuses on the network communication plan of DCS simulation system. Through comparison on protocols of local area network, we choose IEEE 802.3 Ethernet. By way of simulation of token bus network on the top layer of the network, we use Winsock programming to realize communication between various stations of the simulation system, so as to avoid conflict on shared media and meet requirements of real time feature and reliability to DCS simulation system.
