Along with the rapid development of socialistic economy and the reformation and opening of railway,containerisation with many advantages, has become the main form and the new points of economic growth of China's railway transportation. The efficiency level of railway container operation is directly related to the benefit of the railyway transportation and the vital interest of owner of cargo.Therefore, the research on the optimization of container yard operation is an important subject to raise the utilization rate of resource and service. The loading operation and the container allocation operation this paper studys are the main business of container yard, the plan formulation directly affects the working efficiency.The paper uses heuristic search algorithm to obtain rapidly satisfactory programmes and according to the importance degree of three objectives makes multi-objective problem be single objective problem, valuing the programmes comprehensively, so as to enhance the efficiency of loading and ensure transportation safety. Considering position information of containers and train, the paper uses heuristic search algorithm combined with tabu search to generate the programmes of container loading sequence,which improves the utilization of loading and unloading machine and makes the distance of loading and unloading machine runs shortest.Taking into account the allocation with the various factors and objectives of measuring the merits of container allocation programmes, the paper uses genetic algorithm to obtain many options, optimizing the container allocation. The paper makes examples on these algorithms to verify.Which shows that container loading algorithm can obtain effective programmes in a short time meeting the constraints of loading with higher loading rate, container loading sequence algorithm can obtain the shortest path that the machine runs, container allocation algorithm can obtain more balanced programmes.In this paper, algorithms researched not only have practical value but also provide the basic solution for the further optimization of the operations.
