The applications of new services such as P2P and Stream Media have brought a subversive influence on the services model of the Internet and the architecture of network. In order to adapt this kind of development tendency of network, reconfiguration technology has been bring into the design of network architecture, and it becomes one of the hotspots concerned by home and abroad. Reconfigurable network devices are the basic units of Reconfigurable network, and also the key technology of it. The research results of Reconfigurable network devices have a very important value for Reconfigurable network. The issue in the thesis originates from "The key technologies for Large-scale Access Convergence Router (short for ACR)" of the Tenth Five Year 863 Plan significant Specialized Issues. ACR is the Edge Router of 3TNet, and the introduction of reconfiguration technology to ACR will make it possible to support the Multi-services network environment flexibility. The thesis mainly consists of the following:1. The thesis has analyzed the insufficiency of existing reconfiguration technology, and proposes the Distributed Internet Reconfigurable Logic (DIRL) system. DIRL system guarantee Distributed router own the ability of reconfiguration. This mechanism possesses greater reliability and flexibility, and greatly reduces the maintaining and updating cost.2. The thesis puts forward Step Matching Method (SMM) for the address searching of Granularity Units and designs a set of methods to test the utility. Through SMM, Update Files are correctly overwritten into corresponding storage space. DIRL System based on MMS can conveniently update any Granularity Units inside ACR. This method can be implemented simply and work High-effectively.3. The thesis put forward Fault Masking solution for DIRL. This solution guarantees ACR return to normal status when an Error occurs in the process of reconfiguration. This solution strengthens the reliability and the robustness of ACR.4. The thesis lists detailed design of the hardware and the operate system of DIRL inside ACR, and put forward test methods and results for the important modules of DIRL. The test result shows that DIRL can satisfy the reconfiguration demand of ACR.
