Course-Choosing Algorithm Based On The Dynamic Probability Distribution And Its Application

With the development and generally using of the internet, thestudents are demanded to select the course independently after thecredit system is put in practice in the colleges in china. Thecourse-selection system is transferred form manned filling table toselecting the courses in the web. Based on the methods used in othercourse-selection systems, one kind of course-selection algorithm on thebase of dynamic probability distribution, which can be more open, moreequitable, more rational for most of the students, is proposed.This algorithm starts from the equity for the students to select thecourses. It can make most of the students can choose some courses withalmost the same probability, and can make all the students can know ifthey pitched on the course in the time as short as possible. Thealgorithms proposed by others are compared and studied. Then thedistribution of the students during the period is analyzed and thealgorithm is proposed according to the size of the total students sample.Finally based on the research above, a modified dynamic probabilitydistribution algorithm is proposed to meet the the real-time and equitydemand of the course-selection system. Compared with the knownalgorithms, this algorithm can put in practice real-time course-selection.At the same time the anticipator can select the course with the sameprobability.
