With the development of high-speed railroad technology, the requirement of turn-out's safety operation has been dramatically increased, which means more excellent monitor systems of turn-out should be established. The function of TMS (Turn-out Monitoring System) is to integrate sensors, field-bus, computer network, and database with software engineering, which monitors performance and parameters of the most important turn-out, the equipments connected, and circuits. Then TMS provides the methodological support for the maintenance and repair of high-speed railroad. The most difficult aspects of monitoring system are the accuracy of monitoring, the adaptability of field harsh conditions and, especially, the speed of data transmission. Because of field circumstance and cost, the fiber cannot be used as transmission medium. This means we should choose a bus, which has the capacity of long-distance transmission, higher speed and better quality of transmission, from the existed field-bus. Consequently there goes the LonWorks. The thesis specifically describes the modern control technologies of filed-bus, LonWorks and LabVIEW, meanwhile introduces the status of domestic and international high-speed railway, the framework of hardware and software in TMS, the programming principles of LonWorks and LabVIEW. The framework of LonWorks network and several detailed design flowcharts of LabVIEW are presented. Problems emerged in the project are discussed. Some improvements of the system are proposed either. This project started in April, 2006, and was tested a station in January, 2007. The system has worked well so far.
