This thesis is carried out a high premium research to the FPGA realization of fuzzy controller and made beneficial quest, and come to an anticipant experiment result, which is according to the fuzzy control theories, the EDA software tool, FPGA technology, and the development of fuzzy controller in present condition at home and abroad currently.This thesis designs the fuzzy controller with multiinputs and multioutputs by making use of FPGA technology, integrats the A/D, the D/A and R.S-232 interfaces. It renews the degree values and adjusts the fuzzy logical inference rules through the RS-232 interface, it also strengthens the adaptability of fuzzy controller, and it is easy that fuzzy control core module communicates with single slice machine or the PC. It becomes much better in the function of the control system.While in the design of the fuzzy logical inference module, through the restriction of the value of the function degree overlap, it reduces inference rules activated by each input variable in the fuzzy logical inference,and simplifies hardware structure, saves hardware resources by making use of this characteristics. Also, it adopts pipeline technology to improve the logical inference speed.As a result of adopting the optimized algorithm in the fuzzy logical inference and the hardware structure in parallel / serial together, the fuzzy controller designed saves a great deal of hardware resources, reduces the biggest fanins and fanouts of the chip, and achieves the purpose of the lower delay of the crical paths and power of the chip.It carries on more detailed divisions to input/output fuzzy space, adopts the structure design method to the whole fuzzy controller. The system function becomes convenient to be enlarged, upgraded, and compatible easily with the other equipment.The overall design and each module are carried on logic synthesis and the function timing simulation on the EDA tool --QUARTUSII platform of ALTERA Company. Through simulation and testing on the FPGA experiment platform, it was found that the fuzzy controller chip in FPGA have used less hardware resources, come to a higher work frequency, obtaind a better performance in the speed and the using of resource rate, and satisfied the requirements in the real-time fuzzy control system.
