The IPv6-based network video surveillance system, not only can possess the advantages to solve the problems ,such as the scarcity of IP address, insufficient support for QoS and low security , but also can guarantee the security and the stability of the system. By using IPv6 protocol ,we can improve the mobile network surveillance technology and integrate wire network surveillance and mobile network surveillance within one network. So, it is vital to investigate the technologies on IPv6-based network video surveillance.The mobile IPv6 handover delay has great influence on the real-time services in mobile network video surveillance system. The thesis analyses the performance of handovers for mobile IPv6, and proposes a no-predict fast handover method tunnel-based, which is implemented easily.The real-time surveillance video is very sensitive to network transmission delay dithering. To reduce the transmission delay dithering, the thesis proposes a modified self-adptive transmission control strategy based on the packet-lossed ratio and the network transmission delay dithering.IPv4 has been using widely, so it will take a long time to convert IPv4 to IPv6.The thesis proposes a conversion strategy for IPv6-based network video surveillance system ,and gives a set of precepts to transplant the IPv4 application source program to IPv6.Finally, the thesis gives the implementation methods of the key technologies in this system , such as system deployability, video compression and transmission, mobile support, and then introduces the design and implementation of this system's hardware and software.
