Embedded system is one of the top hot concepts; it is also another hot spot in the development of today's electronical technology. Because it has successeding characters: the small volume, the strong performance, the low power consumption, the highly reliability and facing to industry application, it has been widely applied in many fields, such as military affairs,comsuming electrony,internet communication,industrial controlling.With the rapid development of Programmable Logic Chip in recent years, the advantage of SOC based on Programmable Logic Chip are also emerging quickly, smart design, perfect software develop flat, plentiful IPcore and so on, making SOC based on programmable Logic Chip get more and more widely apply. Nios is a kind of CPU that designed for SOPC specially. For embedded system designer, it's a kind of IP core. Nios has the characteristic of reconfiguration, which brings more flexibility to the designer. We can say that Nios has offered a kind of brand-new train of thought to Embedded System designer.In this paper, using Nios II CPU of Altera and SOPC technology designed embedded network hardware platform, packing data and then sending it to Inernet by RTL8019AS, which is an Ethernet controller.Connecting embedded system to network is based on ingegration of embedded system and the TCP/IP stack. In this paper, according to uC/OS- II and LwIP stack, realize embedded network. uC/OS- II, which is an embedded Real Time Operating System(RTOS)with the advantage of free code, simple and effective core, fine real time, is widely applied in embedded system. LwIP is an embedded TCP/IP stack, whih the advantage of free code, full functionality and can be replanted. And then we realized network connection of embedded system by means of replanting uC/OS- II and LwIP stack.The content of this paper:choosing Cyclone EP1C6Q of Altera FPGA as core chip, which includes Nios II soft core, making use of development tools Quartus II and Nios II IDE and using SOPC technology to design hardware development platform of embedded network; controlling network transmission with RTL8019AS of REALTEK Ethernet interface chip; replanting uC/OS- II to Nios II; realizing LwIP stack on uC/OS- II and network programming; transmitting data by embedded TCP/IP network.
