As a new type of wireless communication network, Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is multi-hop and instant self-organized autonomous system consisting of wireless mobile nodes with transceivers. It doesnꊰdepend on any fixed infrastructure and can automatically form network. So it is the first choice of military tactical communication, security-sensitive scenarios and other emergency situation communication (e.g. succor in earthquake, flood and forest fire). At the same time, MANET is also gradually used in business environment, such as sensor networks, mobile conference, family network and virtual classroom. MANET brings us infinite agility and convenience. But, its nodes are so active that the topological framework of network can be easily changed, and the security performance is very poor. It blocks the development of MANET. So the safe settle scheme that fits MANET is urgently needed.The thesis can be logically divided into four parts: study idea of the thesis, study on security mechanism of MANET, design of distributed trust model with clustering scheme, and simulation of the model. The main works including:1,Introducing the principle and characters of MANET. Analyzing the research background, present situation and existing questions of security of MANET.2,Studying the correlative cryptosystem. The thesis adopts ECDSA by analyzing and comparing different cryptosystems. Under the same conditions, ECDSA will greatly improve the security and efficiency of distributed authentication.3,Proposing a kind of distributed trust model which merges clustering scheme. The model combines secret sharing technology and public key solution, which fits for the MANET environment. In the model, Cluster formation, system initialization, certificate issuing, certificate updating and certificate revoking are implemented.4,Analyzing performances under APE simulation with key point of certificate issuing.The thesis has studied the security strategy of MANET, and focused on the key management and certificate authentication. As a result, this trust model reduces the computation load, saves the storage space and the band width. And it improves the performance of key management in MANET to a certain extent.
