The multi-function U-Disk notebook is studied on the foundation of the wireless localization electronics whiteboard, which is developed by the digital signal processing laboratory in Jilin University. It is an intelligent terminal equipment just for students to improve the study efficiency and an integral of study, work, entertainment, net surfing. Its core technique has already acquired invention patent and practical new patent with the patent number 20051001846.5 and 200520028732.8, now it is subsidized by creative fund for small or middle enterprise from Science and Technology department.The multi-function U-Disk notebook adopted S3C2410X processor of ARM9, equipped with high efficiency Linux operation system, using the advanced ultrasonic, infrared wireless localization technique with the features of dapper portable, smooth writing, powerful function and so on. The multi-function U-Disk notebook has many functions, concrete functions as follows:(1) Show synchronously the handwriting on LCD, and reflecting the writer's handwriting style.(2) Store directly the notebook and homework in the U-Disk, and browsing the files in the U-Disk notebook, getting away thoroughly the dependence of the computer.(3) Have a multimedia player to play the audio and video study data in the U-Disk.(4) Transplant a net explorer to visit Internet.(5) Have a picture browser to explore the pictures of bmp, jpg format and so on.(6) Supply some wisdom game for entertainment.Students can use U-Disk notebook to record and store class notes in the U-Disk, thus they can browse, review and communicate at any time, and they also can finish homework with U-Disk, send them to the teacher through network. U-Disk notebook brings more convenience between teachers and students. As an intelligent terminal equipment of complete digital teaching platform which using ultrasonic, infrared wireless localization electronics whiteboard as the core, it can improve the informatization level of teaching, save a great deal of paper, reduce the waste of resources and set the foundation for computer network teaching and paperless office work in the net era if this item can convert to products.Localization technique is one of the core techniques of the multi-function U-Disk notebook. Localization precision has a direct effect on the writing quality. To assure the high writing quality of the multi-function U-Disk notebook, the system makes use of the ultrasonic, infrared wireless localization method with low-cost, high resolution, durability and stability.This dissertation mainly realizes the localization algorithm, designs the hardware circuit and develops the application program of the signal handling module of the multi- function U-Disk notebook.Based on the localization algorithm of far field source and the wireless localization electronics whiteboard, research mainly the localization algorithm of the multi-function U-Disk notebook and deducing the related formulas which set foundation for the software's realization.Design the storage circuit, power and reset circuit, audio card circuit, network card circuit, touch screen circuit, UART circuit, JTAG circuit, host and device USB circuit etc.Design six-story high speed PCB board, made a sample machine which has been tested successfully and lays foundation of hardware for software of the multi-function U-Disk notebook.Build the embedded Linux system, research the Linux device drivers, transplanting Graphical User Interface Qtopia and internet explorer Konqueror/ Embedded, develop the application program of the multi-function U-Disk notebook, and realize the function of display, storage and browse and so on. Transplant internet explorer Konqueror/Embedded and Qtopia, endow the multi-function U-Disk notebook to explore pictures, play audio and video study data stored in U disk and land on an Internet and so on.The full dissertation is totally divided into six chapters, which is arranged as follows:In chapter one, introduce the research background and meaning of the multi-function U-Disk notebook, illustrate the system constitution, function and area of application.In chapter two, introduce the concept, characteristics and development history of embedded system, the classification of embedded processor and the characteristics of current embedded operation system, introduce the development procedure and debug method for software of the embedded system in detail. In chapter three, research the localization algorithm of the multi-function U-Disk notebook. Firstly, taking the example of mobile communications network, introduce far field source localization algorithm, secondly, taking the example of the wireless localization electronics whiteboard, introduce near field localization algorithm, finally according to the localization algorithm of wireless localization electronics whiteboard research the localization algorithm of the multi-function U-Disk notebook, and deduce formula which lays theory foundation for the later software realization.In chapter four, design the hardware circuit of signal handle moudle of the multi-function U-Disk notebook, including the design of storage circuit, power and reset circuit, audio card circuit, network card circuit, touch screen circuit, UART circuit, JTAG circuit and host and device USB circuit etc., make a sample machine which has been tested successfully and lays a foundation of software of the multi-function U-Disk notebook based on ARM, finally point out the notice while designing the system high-speed circuit board.In chapter five, firstly, explain the method of building the embedded Linux system, including the transplantation of Bootloader, Linux kernel. Secondly, introduce the device drivers under Linux, and take a example of touch screen to research the designing method of Linux device drivers. Thirdly, explain method the transplantation of Qtopia and Konqueror/Embedded under Linux. Finally, develop the application program of the multi-function U-Disk notebook and realize the corresponding function of U-Disk notebook.In chapter six, sum up the full dissertation, put forward the unsolved problems and give the next work.The main contribution of the dissertation:(1) Sum up the localization algorithm of far-field source and the wireless localization electronics whiteboard, research mainly the localization algorithm of the multi-function U-Disk Notebook and realize it in S3C2410X.(2) Design and realize the hardware circuit of the signal processing module of multi-function U-Disk notebook, and design the system six-story high speed PCB board.(3) Transplant the Graphical User Interface Qtopia and internet explorer Konqueror/Embedded, and develop the application program of the multi-function U-Disk notebook which realizes the function of display, storage, browse.(4) Make a sample machine and have tested successfully, realize functions of the multi-function U-Disk notebook. The problems to be solved:(1) Realize all functions of the U-Disk notebook under Windows CE. Net.(2) Optimize the application program of the U-Disk notebook.(3) Realize the wireless communications between the U-Disk notebook and computer.(4) Design the high efficiency power module.
