Data mining is unmatched by other means in dealing with massive data and discovering of hidden information and association rules. Along with the development of electric power industry, the rapid growth of power system data in a database, conventional methods can not meet the requirements. It is the trend that data mining is introduced into power system analysis. In this paper I take the fault diagnosis for power transformer for example, Rough set of data mining is applied on dissolved gases analysis(DGA), and provides effective power transformer fault diagnosis. Due to the incompleteness and complexity of fault diagnosis for power transformer, a specific fault diagnostic model with self-improvement method based on the rough set theory is given in this paper. The case studies show it is effective and useful. |
