The boiler is one important industry and the civil equipment, and it has high security. It is vital to develop the technology research to fault diagnosis of boiler equipment for safe operation. According to the existing fault diagnostic technology for boiler equipment, the author put forward a kind of hybrid intelligent diagnostic method in hope of improving the rapidity and accuracy in fault diagnosis of boiler equipment. It integrates different intelligent fault diagnosis techniques, includes fuzzy mathematics, neural network technology combine with technology of expert system, etc.Firstly, on the basis of analyzing operation characteristic and general fault characteristic of the boiler equipment, a kind of hybrid intelligent diagnostic method with the overall system frame has been provided. Then it has modulus of setting-up in fault diagnostic knowledge basement and uses MATLAB procedure of fault diagnosis inference engine based on modular fuzzy neural network. Further, the whole system procedure is built with the Visual Basic language, the interface is designed at the same time. While training in sample, through establishing some initial parameter, such as rule count, weighting index, study rate, discontinue error in adaptive degree network, alternate error in regular network and etc, then it carried on the training for the introduction sample according to the study algorithm of modular fuzzy neural network, eventually analyzed the relationship of above-mentioned parameters and study square of error Q. The overheated device of high temperature broke that a kind of typical troubles in boiler system had carried on the artificial experiment finally. The experiment shows: Under the selected parameter condition, all the sample in this paper can approach to minor stabilize numerical value and realize rapidly convergent speed and less learning error.In view of boiler equipment characteristic, the hybrid intelligent fault diagnostic system for boiler equipment has the advantage of clean-cut arrangement, easily understanding, higher inference efficiency. What is more, the logical thinking and visualize thinking ability of human expert can be simulated appropriately, and boiler equipment fault can be diagnosed in time. This diagnostic research method provides the study value and guidance to other special equipments.
