Security, transaction, maintainability and extensibility are always the focuses of enterprise software development, which are also the key problems preventing fast software developing. J2EE simplifies the process of enterprise software's develop, and its components-based characteristics is also very important to enterprise system development. This paper discussed small manufacture companies' ERP system requirement and design object, using the latest J2EE framework technology, gave an architectural design for the ERP system, and analyzed the ways to tune the presentation layer's performance, technologies and implementation ways available. In this paper, a factory design pattern is applied in the bills handling, which improves the system's maintainability and extensibility. In the persistence layer design, discusses on middle layer between database and presentation is provided, which can mange all the data accessing and can be in depended to database design, and is benefit to a team in system development and integration. Besides, a JMS-based data synchronization method under distributed network environment is also provided, which is little performance consuming. In the end of this paper, the deployment on the basis of open-source software is discussed, which can save much money but dependable for small manufacturing companies.
