This paper describes a kind of multi-point, multi-parameter itinerant measuring system ( KD-3 type) .This monitoring system can be widely used in large geotechnical engineering, and it has two work mode: Wired communication mode and wireless communication mode (the common work mode). Take wireless communication mode for the example,System consists of five parts:computer, mater unit ,slave unit,GPRS DTU and vibrating wire sensor.Through the computer's control(remote control),master unit can control each slave unit realizing itinerant measurement by parallel addressing means. Each master unit can control 15 slave unit at most(amount to 225 test-point at most),and it can measure many parameter such as pressure ,strain,pulling force of reinforcing bar and etc. Computer can receive monitoring data from master unit via GPRS wireless network ,and it also can finish saving calculating, displaying and searching the data.System is characterized by its multi-function,reasonable price and strong practicality, and it can well satisfy the practical need of different user.This paper mainly introduces the choice of the system scheme,operating principle , hardware and software design of system.Experimental result shows : this monitoring system has good prospects for application.
