With the fully development of Internet, the users ask more rather than can only connect to Internet with a low speed. They want to surf Internet with Wideband. And at the same time there exit more and more computer equipments and other digital products. All of those form a wireless home network based on PC. The home network develops in two ways, the first is wireless, and the other is broad bandwidth. So currently the home network requires a new wireless communication technology with stably and broad bandwidth.UWB is a competitive wireless communication technology. UWB is the abbreviation of Ultra Wideband. It is a short range communication technology without carrier wave. It uses impulse to transmit datagram. Someone believes that it will reform the area of short range wireless communication and will be one of the main technology in the area. UWB devices can communicate to each other at the speed of at least 100Mbps in the range of 10m. The technology is suitable for using in the home environment, so its future is splendid. At the beginning there are more than 20 UWB standards. By now they remain only two-DS-UWB from Freescale and MBOA from TI. But the worse is that the two standards can not compromise. Now DS-UWB develop faster than MBOA. There already exits UWB wireless network adapter based on DS-UWB. This project is based on DS-UWB technology and its corresponding network adapters.Although UWB has the advantages of high speed , it sill has its limits when it is adopted in the area of video transmission. These limits focus on the aspect of the network delay and can not afford the requirement of real time transmission. This is mainly due to IEEE802.15.3 which DS-UWB adopt. IEEE802.15.3 is base on the mechanism of CSMA/CA which leads...
