In this thesis, the principles, functions, technical characteristics of an HFC network transmission based multimedia broad bandwidth transmission system are presented. The system is developed by ourselves on the basis of the project which is titled .Multimedia Broad Bandwidth Network Engineering and been responsible by the author of this thesis. The HFC network transmission based techniques of Internet dual access, user set-top-box access, stock broadcasting, standard video broadcasting, distant education, etc. are addressed. This system can provide information highway to telecommunication and TV broadcasting to run multimedia services and be suitable for the status of our nation and the economic burden of our public. The address is emphasized on the following work of the author. 1 . Scheme and design of the HFC network based multimedia broad bandwidth transmission system.2. Construction of HFC network based multimedia broad bandwidth TV neighboring frequency front subsystem.3. Problem solution of the access between multimedia broad bandwidth transmission signals and HFC transmission networks.4. Realization of real time broadcasting of stock and distant education applying satellite communication techniques.5. Study of anti-inference and coding error rate reduction. The innovations of this thesis are that an assemble idea for system signal source design, a method for broadcasting and storage of signal channel, and a theoretic design of context based signal destination locating are proposed. At the end of this thesis, tentative plans are proposed for increasing the system transmission efficiency and reducing HFC network interference to QAM signals.
