Fire disaster is one of the great threats of the human security.Frequent wide area fire, forest fire, etc. cause not only great destruction to social life, but also the losses and the extent of injury. In recent years, scientific workers have used fire protection, civil security, fire science, image processing technology, infrared detection, computer vision, pattern-recognition with artificial intelligent, computer network, and so on. All kinds of new and high technology have developed the products of fire detection, improving the monitor capability to the fire. But the performance for some of these products based on the recognition technology of the image is not high, which need combining together other survey technology; others have a high cost, not fit for the popularization in large range. Moreover, the video monitoring system based on the wave band of visible light, can't be suitable for monitoring the space which need the protection of privacy. So, developing a cheap set, which can satisfy the basic demand of fire detection, is important for social safety. And it is very essential to survey technical research in fire detection based on infrared image.Considering the domestic and international researching about the image recognition technology of the fire detection, the disstertation discusses how to utilize technology such as distilling information from infrared picture , the pattern-recognition with ANN(Artificial Neural Network) , GA(Genetic Algorithm), to judge the fire state of the monitored goal. It also propose how to utilize CAN(Control Area Network) bus communication network, the GUI developing technology of PC, to integrate monitoring terminal into an effective network.First of all, the research of recognition algorithm for fire detection is introduced. A mathematical model based on ANN and GA algorithm, and the technology scheme of a whole set of algorithms.Then, the conceptual design of the whole system is discusseed, including the terminal design plan of software and hardware, software development of PC, the communication network based CAN bus, etc.. This section is the key of the paper. Finally, something about the debugging and authentication of this system is represented. The authentication made by authority dept. has proved exactness and feasibility of the scheme.In addition the study on the information distilling methods of infrared image, and careful analysis about various methods and their effect to fire recognition are proposed.
