With the development of System On Chip of micro-electronics technology, the embedded system based in ARM core have comprehensive application in many filed, Such as communications, network, industry control, instruments, information Electrical appliances and Electrical commodity of consumed. As the seven seas one-up provide manufacturer of 32/16 bit embedded RISC MPU solution, the ARM Holdings produce the ARM serials architecture and becomes the RISC standard in manufacture the SOC chip.This article implement an intact and general embedded system development Platform. We start through building the Hardware platform, the ARM9 IP core by way of MPU, FLASH and SDRAM by way of memory Unit, CS4340 by way of A/D transform module.Because of the MMU unit of ARM9 architecture chips, we select Linux2. 4. 8 as the operation system. Using GCC package, Binutils(binary utilities) package, Make and Debugger gdb debugger machine as the tools chain. Using BLOB as initial start. Using the touch screen as Mutual people-machine operation. And the GUI system is afforded by MiniGUI.About playing audio files, we don't use the Hardware decoded solution, but Software solution. We optimize the decoded arithmetic, and translate floating point numbers operation into integer numbers operation, farthest utilizing the ARM core efficiency. Decoding data stream achieve CS4340 module through DMA pipe, CS4340 based on Open Sound System drivers, we can control playing by OSS parameter.At last, we use the signal generator and frequency analysis instrument and get the simulate result. The system capability analysis through the Linux analysis software.This thesis code distributed under GNU GPL license.
