The vehicles surveillance and managing system,which is designed by us and based on the technology of GPS and GPRS,is designed to meet the requirement of transport ,traffic service and vehicles surveillance.It works on the principium of that the vehicles which equips a GPS receiver transmit the information that contains the car's position, time and state to the watching center over the internet.The watching center carry out the work of dynamic watching,dealing with the alarm signal,attempering vehicles,managing information etc. to achieve the goal of vehicles surveillance and managing in a scientific way.The goal of this thesis is to settle the problem of the watching center, which is found in the practical application.especially the problem of a limited capability, hard to be expanded and a bad mechanism of watching.Aiming at these problems, this thesis carried out a new design of the watching center based on the Destrbuted.First this thesis outlined the structure of the former vehicles watching and managing system.This thesis contains two important parts of the system: the scheme of the terminals and centralized watching center.Secondly, this thesis particular introduced the principium and the concept of the Distributed which is related to this thesis.Third, this thesis analysed the requirement of this actual project and problem.After analyzing the problem in this design, this thesis introduced the improvement of the former watching center and the design and realize of a impotant server—the net server.In the chaper of the hardware's structure, this thesis introduced the constitute of the watching center, the plan of the data stream, the partition of the function; In the chapter of the server's design, the thesis introduced the realization and code of the modules'function.
