Research And Implementation Of Distributed Heterogeneous Database Based On CSCW

With the development of computer and network technology , database systems develop from miniaturization to maximization, and from concentration to distribution. Considering the distributed geographical position and the demand that the security and distridution of the data, a lot of business systems form the distributed heterogeneous database system which have autonomic website distributed. Different computers are heterogeneous and become information islands, on which data sharing and interoperability become more and more difficult. So how to detect and resolve data conflicts and heterogeneity are the fundamental issues. The integration of distributed heterogeneous database is the fundametion for conforming the enterprise information and realizing effective management.Database integration technologies provide effective channels for detecting data heterogeneity, modifying data earlier, resolving data incompleteness and inconsistencies, and finally improving data quality for comprehensive usage.This thesis researches distributed heterogeneous database on CSCW. The main problem is that how to accessing and exchanging different data sources under the distributed heterogeneous environment, and how to applying the technology on the office automated system.The thesis begins with describing research background and meaning of subject, and introducing what to do. It introduces the relevant problems of CSCW , the basic conception of the distributed and heterogeneous database. The difference between document databases and relation database is especially described, for studying the conformity technology. It also carries on research in key technology including dispeling the different mode of data, interchanging data between document database and relation database, the concurrency control, data distribution and data simultaneity in distributed database. After analysing the system application, we choose the developing platform and mode, and introduce the two platforms of Lotus Domino/Note and .NET. Then the system structure of the database and the systematic frame are designed. While studying the design plan of the database, the thesis analyses the methods accessing to the database based on CSCW and Web, the ways to exchange data, and the memory mechanism of the distributed data. Finally, the main function of the system is described through a practical application.
