Research On Introducing Semantic Web Technology To Web Service

Web Service is based on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA),it's a kind of self-describe component model that contains business application's functionality and through well-defined interfaces and contracts between these services users can use standard Internet technologies to query,subscibe and invoke these services.Web Service use XML(Extensible Markup Language) as vehicle for data transmission. But,it is difficult for Web Service to obtain the ability of automatic discovery,invoke,compose service only rely on XML.If we can introduce Semantic Web technology to Web Service,we can enhance the ability of Web Service.Most of today's WWW content is suitable for human consumption, but still not suitable for computer to process based on semantic of them.So,The Semantic Web is propagated by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), an international standardization body for the Web. The driving force of the Semantic Web initiative is Tim Berners-Lee, the very person who invented the WWW in the late 1980s.Semantic Web Service makes Web Service a set of ontologies that can be understand by computer.In Semantic Web Service , Web Service be describe by semantic web annotation language,semantic Web Service support Web Service automatic discovery,invoke and compose by this kind of description.In this paper,we focus on the Web Service discovery technology ,the goal is to improve precision of Web Service discovery.we discuss a way of introducing OWL-S to UDDI registry and improve the performance of corresponding matching algorithm.
