Now, the Tri-Dimensional CAD is extensively applied in each filed of the engineering design. Its application shortens the design cycle, cuts the design cost, and avoids wasting and postponement caused by design error.This paper gives the design method that the work of design, simulation and analysis is executed interactively until the result is satisfied. At first, it makes some studies on the Tri-Dimensional digital modeling technology and makes some research on the application of design method, parametric modeling and assembly technology in complex engineering design. And it abstracts some method on Tri-Dimensional digital modeling in engineering design. With Concurrent Design technology, the Tri-Dimensional digital model of the project is built by means of base-feature parametric modeling, based on the principle that plan in whole and carrying out partially. To avoid remodeling, the modular design is used in engineering modeling, which makes the modification of the complex engineering model more easily and translates the complexity to "simplicity". At the same time, the paper also makes some research on real-time scene navigation, dynamic simulation and clash check. Using these technologies can verify the rationality and reliability of design and make sure the work after design is safe and reliable.With the software, CATIA, the rationality of the method on Tri-Dimensional digital modeling, simulation and analysis is verified by the example of the depot of magnetic levitation train. In some sub-assemblies, modular technology is applied. To satisfy the requirement of multi-scheme design, the interaction of human and computer in layout is carried out, which makes the design more intelligent. It can carry out different layout scheme quickly and can modify local design easily, which makes the design more flexible. In order to verify the rationality and reliability of design, the Real-time scene navigation has been done with the digital mock up technology. Dynamic simulation for work process, such as replacing storage batteries and lifting the carriage, has been carried out and the dynamic and static interference check with important equipments has been executed. Also the distance analysis between equipments in work process has been executed. All the results give a strategy foundation to the assessing of design.
