Study On Citation Indentity Based Fronts And Hot Topics Of Disciplines

Citation analysis is an important part of the information research methods, which applications have already extended to scientology, sociology, evaluation of science, detection of research fronts, technology management and others from information and library field. At present, the most researches of citation are about the citations, the author's cited situation, citees and their works, but there is less concern on the citers, especially starting from the citers to study the citees. In studying an author's academic activity and understanding his research process, the author itself to be studied is very important.Based on the American Information Professor White who Proposed citation identity and defined an author's citation identity is a set of authors that he cites, this paper analysis some relevant studies about citation identity. Citation identity is a concept refers to set out from the citer himself to research the citer and the citees, and detect the hot topics with the core of the citers. Therefore, citation identity is a new perspective of citation analysis, and it is an important component of citation analysis.Because of the ageing of population, living pressures of modern society, eating habits and lifestyle are not healthy, and other risk factors, as a result, incidence rate of the nervous system diseases is increasing,Therefore, this article taking clinical neurology for example, analyzed author citation identity and journal citation identity of this field, and took citation identity applying to the method of detection hot topics.By analyzing the experts' citation identity of clinical neurology, the result are that citation identity conforms to the core-and-scatter distribution and can reflect authors' citation styles and social structure. By analyzing the core journals' citation styles of clinical neurology, this paper presents the style of citation and the role of these journals among the correlative subjects. Then taken citation identity into the method of detection hot topics, and combined traditional citation analysis method and co-occurrence analysis method to explore the feasibility of the method. The innovation points of this paper include tow points:1. citation identity combined traditional citation analysis method and collocation analysis, to deep and develop the method of citation identity analysis; 2. taken clinical neurology as a research field, drawing citation identity and citation analysis panorama to analysis the heats of the subject area, and its development.
