The Research Of Image Reproduction Based On Color Appearance

Along with the applications of color information in relative fields become more and more widely, it become a problem that the color does not matching in the Cross-medium color reproduction. The affiliation of color appearance in Color Management System(CMS) can solve this problem primarily. In viewing of the disadvantages that traditional color management technology can not meet the demand of various viewing conditions, and to make color reproduction between different media, different viewing conditions and different surround and background, a color reproduction algorithm is proposed based on color appearance match.This paper analyzes the several of the color appearance phenomenon and researched several normal color appearance models especially the newest color appearance model—the CIECAM02 color appearance model. By transforming to tristimulus values in a reference viewing condition using a chromatic adaptation model. At this point predictors of lightness, chroma, and hue for each image element can be obtained. Again the process is reversed for the viewing conditions of the reproduction. This paper is based on CIECAM02 color appearance model,realize color appearance reproduction of the soft copy image and the hard copy image by designing and carrying out correlative arithmetic. Experimental results show that color management with this algorithm works better in cross-media color reproduction than traditional color management. Finally, the color appearance is acceding to the color management system.
