The Design And Implementation Of The Distributed System For University Open Lab Reservation Management Based On .NET/WAP

Labs, as important places for university teaching activities, play extremely important roles in promoting students'manipulative powers and innovation abilities, strengthening their comprehensive qualities, as well as improving teachers'practical teaching standards. In recent years, many universities have increased the investments in labs, making lab equipments rapidly extended. However, this also brings about another problem-how to make good use of these resources, so it is urgent to develop an intelligent and human lab reservation system. The system can make open lab information management come true in every aspect, which can not only free all lab staff from the arduous work, improve the efficiency, but also promote the motivation of the students as well as utilization rate of the lab.Based on the analysis of the current situation at home and abroad, as well as the comprehensive situation at Ocean University of China Qingdao College, this paper mainly discusses the optimization of the traditional labs, proposes an open college lab reservation management system plan and describes the structure and function of the system, so as to establish an intelligent, human and practical system, which can be consistent with the actual situation of our college. The characteristic of the system is that it is a wonderful combination of reservation management and computer control management. In this process, it makes no requirement of the human intervention, and students can make reservations by mobile phones, which is very fast and convenient.From the point view of the software engineering, the system is divided into several function modules, each of which is then designed in detail. Based on the NET platform of multi-tier architecture, the system adopts the popular MVC with the popular three-tier structure of package, uses WAP technology, SMS technology, Windows Socket network communication and the database system of SQL Server 2005. With the above technology, all of the data are grouped on a database server, which realizes the data structure of physically distributed and data share. The improvement of the following work of the lab reservation system is also done, which finally optimizes the service model of the reservation system to some extent and proves great practical application.This system solves the lab reservation problem which puzzles the lab staff for a long time. It not only realizes the paperless management, but also improves the efficiency and quality of lab staff. What's more, it also makes it convenient for students to free arrangement of their experiments. All in all, it makes the open labs come true.
