Background:In recent years, the high incidence of congenital heart disease has been at the top of birth defects. Surgical operation is the best treatment for the majority of children with congenital heart disease, however, postoperative recovery process face a series of problems of pain, nutrition, mental symptoms, multiple complications etc.. Therefore, postoperative care is essential. Family centered care is the best pediatric nursing mode in western countries recognized, which on account of children’s physiology, psychological and social development needs andconfirms that family plays a vital role in the rehabilitation of diseases of children, the effective participation of family can help children to better rehabilitation. However, the family centered care concept in the field of congenital heart disease is less studied. In these studies, the main problems include:the form of family participation, content, degree is not clear and the one side of the intervention program, etc.. The purpose of this study is to form a family centered nursing care for children with congenital heart disease, and to help guide clinical practice.Objective:To determine the specific content of family centered nursing in children with congenital heart disease after operation.Methods:The study was conducted from February 2016 to April 2015. On the basis of literature review, through semi-structured interviews, forming of questionnaire inquiry, through the Delphi method with two rounds of inquiry of 17 experts from the fields of management of clinical nursing, clinical nursing, nursing administration and nursing management of scientific research, determined to children with congenital heart disease after operation for family centered nursing content.Results:Through retrieval the relevant literatures in recent 10 years, interviewing 15 mothers of children with congenital heart disease and two rounds of the Delphi consultation, it is concluded that the family center nursing content is comprised of four first order index,9 second-class indexes,including the respect and dignity (provide good medical communication environment, the humanistic care and social support), cooperation and participation (the family centered rounds, daily life care, nursing, presence on intrusive procedures), supporting information (postoperative hospitalization period, continuity of care), and 107 three level indicators, thus a total of 120 entries..Conclusion:This study formed the specific content of family centered care in children with congenital heart disease after operation, providing a reference for clinical practice, but also needs further improvement in clinical nursing practice.
