| Objective:Measuring the temperature difference of bilateral well-points of the 12 meridians of lower back pain patients, chose the Shuxue of the meridian which temperature difference was above 0.5℃ and combined with the regular acupuncture treatment, in order to explore whether the effect of the combine treatment is better than the regular way.Methods:60 cases have completed the treatment observation.50 cases have completed the measurement of temperature differences of bilateral well-points of the 12 meridians before and after the treatment. Control Group:the regular treatment included:Ashi points, bilateral Dachangshu (BL25), Weizhong (BL40). According to the patients’different symptoms, other points would be chosen at the same time. Treatment group:chose the Shuxue of the meridian which temperature difference was above 0.5℃, and combined with the regular acupuncture treatment. Frequency of the treatment was thrice a week and every three treatment cycles in total. Each case was graded using VAS and JO A rating scales and assessment was made before and after treatment. Data analysis was done using SPSS17.0.Result:1.60 patients who finished the treatment, all achieved good curative effect. It did not show any significant difference of the first and second week treatment scores of JOA, and VAS between the control and treatment groups (P>0.05). The two groups’ JOA scores of the third week did not show significant difference. The forth week scores of JOA, and the third and fourth week scores of VAS between the control and treatment groups had significant difference(P≤ 0.05)After treatment, VAS scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group. JOA scores of treatment group were higher than the control group(P<0.05).2.After four treatment cycles, the treatment group had a cured and markedly effective rate of 60% and effective rate of 93.3%, while the control group had a cured and markedly effective rate of 40% and effective rate of 76.7%.3.50 cases which finished the measurement of temperature differences, most of the temperature differences after treatment were lower than before except Shaoshang(LU11) in the treatment group and Dadun(LR1),Shaoze(SI1) in the control group. There was significant difference of each intra-group comparison(P< 0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).4.The study divided all the meridians into two groups including:decline, no decline according to the temperature difference. In the treatment group, the decline rate was 83.78%, and the no decline rate was 16.22%. In the control group, the decline rate was 79.38%, and the no decline rate was 20.62%.5.The study followed some patients who had finished the study for three months. The result showed that the recur rate of treatment was lower than the control group.Conclusion:1. After four weeks’treatment, all cases which finished the measurement of temperature differences bilateral well-points of the 12 meridians, most of the temperature differences after treatment were lower than before which reflected the acupuncture treatment could lower the temperature differences and evaluate the curative effect. There was significant difference of each intra-group comparison (P< 0.05). The temperature difference decline followed the improvement of the patients’ symptoms and activation.2. After four weeks’ treatment, JOA scores of treatment group were higher than the control group, and VAS scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group. Combining with the regular acupuncture treatment had a better effect than the control group.3. Well-point temperature differences could reflect the improvement of lower back pain, therefore measuring well-point temperature could be a reference of curative effect. |
