The reason why we developed the DRM is based on the defects of Internet, brings much convenience to our daily lives, that the works of both individuals and enterprises can be downloaded and enjoyed by others, which influenced the profits of enterprises.This thesis centers on the style of Windows Media Rights Manager by Microsoft. We have researched the possibility of DRM and finished research report and then realized the DRM style through acquiring the customer's requirement from Beijing 21VIANET Corporation. The procedure which protects the profits of enterprises is that: each customer should get his own password from our corporation by the short message of mobile phone before he could gain the license from the license management system, when he wants to play the encryption media files of our corporation. Once the customers used up all the priorities counted by the use times, he must to reapply for them, for the licenses can record the times used by the customers.The thesis studied the DRM from different perspectives such as: theory, technology, software engineering theory.We attached the great importance to the current situation and the basic model of DRM on theory. When referring to the current situation of technology, we underlined the model of Windows Media Rights Manager which pushes forward to the development of DRM. We attach the randomly-encrypted keys and the information of license to the head of a file by encrypting multi-media files. Thus playing the file, the player gets the information of head of encrypted one and thengets the license from the webpage involved. In doing so, we can protect the profit of enterprises and individuals.We have also referred to the DRM functions involved and explained them under the help of forms and pictures. So have we done when referring to the procedure of encrypting a multi-media file and applying for a license and consulting the consumption information of a customer.The most distinctive character of software engineering is the document of each phase; we have done so at the phases of the summary of requirement, the design of functions and detail designs. At the phase of the summary of requirement, we have paid special attention to the requirements of customers. At the phase of the design of functions, we have designed each functional module. At the phase of detail designs, we have designed the detail procedure the referring functions, input and output data, and the relationship of modules.
